If your lights are flickering after installing a Deako Dimmer, follow these initial steps for troubleshooting.

Troubleshooting Flickering Lights

1. Check the light bulbs. Not all bulbs support dimming. Check the bulb to make sure dimming is supported.
2. Count how many light bulbs are being controlled by the switch. If there are many bulbs being controlled, that could affect flickering due to the total wattage.
3. Check the fixture. Deako Smart DImmers operate through reverse-phase dimming (also known as trail edge dimming) and support ELV fixtures.
4. Check the wiring. Deako backplates are polarity sensitive. Check to make sure the neutral wire is connected to the same neutral as the switch and make sure travelers are not crossed between two switches.
