If you're using an AT&T router with dual-band WiFi and are having trouble connecting your Deako switches, the issue may be due to how AT&T combines the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands under one network name (SSID). Deako switches require a 2.4GHz connection and may not be able to detect or connect properly when both bands share the same name.
There are two options that can help.
Temporary Disable the 5GHz Band
- Contact AT&T support and request to temporarily disable the 5GHz band on your router
- Once the Deako switches are connected to the 2.4GHz band, the 5GHz band can be turned back on
Create a Separate 2.4GHz Network
- Ask AT&T to split the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands into separate SSIDs (e.g., "MyNetwork_2.4" and "MyNetwork_5G")
- Connect your mobile device and the Deako app to the 2.4GHz network during setup
