Prerequisites

Deako App Setup: Switches must be installed and added to the Deako app. Use the app to connect them to your Wi-Fi network before proceeding.

Network: The Josh.ai device must be connected to the same local network as your Deako devices.

Nimble Hub: The Josh system must have an active Nimble hub. The Deako integration is built in and runs on the Nimble hub, so no driver download or manual install is required.

About the Integration

Deako is a built-in integration in Josh.ai, delivered through the Nimble hub. There is nothing to download. Josh discovers Deako on the network via mDNS.

Setup Steps

Add Deako Switches to the Network
Before configuring Josh, add all Deako switches to the Deako app and ensure they are successfully connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Discover Deako in Josh
In Josh, navigate to System Setup > Configure Devices. Deako will appear automatically via mDNS discovery.

Authorize the Connection
Click Authorize. Josh will connect to Deako and import all devices automatically.

Configure Your Devices
Once the import completes, assign your Deako devices to rooms and configure them as desired.
