Finding Your Deako Serial Number

Whether you are pairing a device, setting up support, or configuring your home automation, you may need to locate the unique 16-character serial number for your Deako switch or wall connector.

There are three ways to locate this information: directly on the switch hardware, inside the wall connector, or within the Deako app.

Method 1: On the Switch Hardware

To locate the serial number printed on your physical switch, you will need to remove it from the backplate.

  1. Remove the faceplate and switch: Gently snap off the faceplate. Locate the blue tab on the top or side, pull it outward to release the lock, and pull the switch straight out from the backplate.
  2. Locate the sticker: Look for a product sticker on the back or side of the switch body. The serial number is a 16-character code (e.g., 322V002167006043) located next to a barcode or QR code.
  3. Reinstall the switch: Slide the switch back into the backplate. Press the switch inward while pushing the blue tab back in to lock it, then snap the faceplate back into place.

Method 2: On the Wall Connector

The Deako connector installed inside your wall junction box has its own separate serial number.

  1. Remove the switch module following Step 1 above.
  2. Look inside the installed wall connector.
  3. Locate the sticker situated in the lower-left corner.
  4. Find the 16-character serial number (e.g., 00KV002046008932).

Note: If the serial number on the sticker is split across two lines, make sure to include all 16 characters in order.

Method 3: In the Deako App

If your switch is already paired and connected to your account, you can quickly find the serial number without removing hardware.

  1. Open the Deako App.
  2. Navigate to Home > Settings.
  3. Tap Edit, then select your specific device from the list.
  4. Tap the Info icon (the circled i in the top-right corner) to view device details, including the serial number.
