The article will explain what the settings on the Simple Motion Sensor are, what they do, and how to change them. Let's get into it!
About your switch
This switch has 3 settings and each setting has 2 options.
The duration of time the switch turns off after not detecting any motion.
- 10 minutes
- 20 minutes
How you want the sensor to trigger the light
- Occupancy (OCC) - the switch turns on when it detects motion and turns off after it no longer detects motion for the time period set
- Vacancy (VAC) - the switch turns off after it no longer detects motion for the time period set
Tip: If you use the main button to turn off the motion sensor, there's a 5 minute cooldown period where motion won't turn the light on again. This period resets if motion is detected within it.
That way, if you turn your light off, the motion of you leaving the room doesn’t turn it back on again!
How sensitive the sensor is to movement
Tip: High sensitivity should only be used in large rooms. For rooms like a pantry or closet, Low sensitivity should be used.
Changing your settings
1. Remove the cover
Pull outward at the top middle of the switch to release the switch cover.
2. Adjust your settings
Select your Time and Mode settings. We recommend keeping the range set to Low if using in a small area.
3. Replace the cover
Align the two flat pieces on the bottom of the door with the slots right above the sensor. Then, push the cover in until it clicks and secures.
