Problems pairing a Deako switch
Follow the steps below if you are having trouble pairing your switches to the Deako app.
"Power cycle" your switch
Remove the faceplate
Remove the faceplate by pulling outward from one of the corners.
Pull blue tab outwards
Pull the blue tab outwards to disconnect the Deako Switch.
Press the blue tab back in
While pressing the switch inwards, push in the blue tab to lock the switch.
Do the icons light up?
Behavior | Solution |
---|---|
Icons light up and "cycle" twice | Try pairing the switch to the app again |
Icons light up and "cycle" only once | Contact support |
Icons do not light up | You likely have a switch that is part of a 3-way or 4-way that is not linked. Click here to learn how to link your switches. |

Problems pairing a Connect
Follow the steps below if you are having trouble pairing a Deako Connect to the app.
Have a V2 Connect?
You will need to factory reset your device first. To factory reset, press and hold the button until the LED turns red, then release. When the LED is green, the device is reset.
Not sure what version you have? Check the sticker on the back of your Deako Connect (right above the power plug-in) or contact support@deako.com for assistance.
Unplug and Plug in the Deako Connect
Briefly unplug your Connect and then plug the device back in.
Open WiFi Settings setup in the Deako app
Open the Deako App and tap the gear icon at the top left corner. Then select WiFi Settings.
Reconfigure your settings
Tap reconfigure. Continue through the in-app instructions to complete the reconfiguration.
If you have a V1 Connect, your device should be solid blue before tapping reconfigure. If you have a V2 Connect, your device should be solid green.
