Deako Smart Switches and Smart Dimmers communicate with each other using Bluetooth. The Deako Connect allows your switches to communicate through WiFi, adding more advanced features such as remote access and integrations with other smart home devices.
Before you begin...
- Add your switches to the Deako App
- Make sure Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled on your mobile device
- Make sure your mobile device is on the same WiFi network that you will be using for the Deako Connect
- Check what version number your Connect is
Setup a Connect
Plugin the Deako Connect
Plugin the Deako Connect near your router. Give the Deako Connect 45 seconds to boot. Learn more about the LEDs on your Deako Connect.
Open Settings
Hit the gear icon in the upper left corner to open your Settings menu.
Select Your Devices
Under Devices, select Your Devices.
Select Add a Device
Select Connect
You'll be asked what kind of device you'd like to pair, select Connect. Follow the in-app instructions to complete the setup.
